Chocolate Marble Fudge Cake

Ingredients

Marble Cake
  • 360 g (1½ cups) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 350 g (1¾ cups) sugar
  • 6 eggs, room temperature
  • 375 g (3 cups plus 2 tablespoons)plain flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 180 ml ( ¾ cup) whole milk
  • ½ cup (60 g) cocoa powder

Chocolate Fudge Frosting
  • 500 g (2 cups) unsalted butter, softened
  • 200 g (2 cups) icing sugar, sifted
  • 90 g (3/4 cup) dark cocoa powder
  • 120 ml (1/2 cupl) hot water
  • 120 ml (1/2 cup) sour cream
  • 1½ teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt
  • 290 g 10 ounces dark chocolate, melted
  • Your favourite sprinkles or confetti

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 160 degrees Celsius. Grease and line the base and sides of three 8 - inch round cake tin with greaseproof paper.
  2. In bowl of mixer beat butter until smooth, then gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy (about 5 minutes)
